Yesterday we joined the middle school students at the New Life Academy and it was great. One of the special things about continuing to join classes like theirs is that we start building relationships of trust with the students. We get to learn about their interests and encourage them to pursue their passions. Three students shared some of their drawings they were sketching and it turned into a fun opportunity to encourage them to continue practicing because as they keep going they'll get better and better.
It's the same for other students, we get to encourage them to make an impact in the world. To reach their neighbors and their peers around them and make their lives better. Each of them has a unique destiny and a calling and it's amazing that God has opened this opportunity to sow into their lives through these chapel times we sometimes have together.
昨日はニューライフアカデミーの中学生たちと一緒に過ごしましたが、素晴らしい時間でした。彼らのようなクラスに継続的に参加する特別な意義の一つは、生徒たちとの信頼関係を築き始められることです。彼らの興味を知り、情熱を追い求めるよう励ますことができます。3人の生徒がスケッチ中の絵を見せてくれ、それが練習を続けるよう励ます楽しい機会となりました。続けることでどんどん上達していくからです。
他の生徒たちにも同じことが言えます。私たちは彼らに、世界に影響を与えるよう励ますことができます。周囲の隣人や仲間たちに手を差し伸べ、彼らの生活をより良くするよう促すのです。一人ひとりに固有の運命と召命があり、神がこうした礼拝の時間を共に過ごす機会を通して彼らの人生に種を蒔く道を開いてくださったことは驚くべきことです。
