This was a piece I drew awhile ago, inspired by the story of the girl who rescued starfish drying up on the sandy seashore. Even though there were countless starfish, she would pick them up, one by one, and throw the back into the ocean.
It might seem insignificant because of how many other drying starfish there are, but to the one she saved, that act of kindness meant everything to it.

これは以前描いた作品で、砂浜で干からびるヒトデを救った少女の物語に触発されました。無数のヒトデがいたにもかかわらず、彼女は一つ一つ拾い上げ、海へと投げ戻したのです。
干からびるヒトデが他にもたくさんいるからといって取るに足らない行為に思えるかもしれませんが、救われた一匹にとって、その親切は全てを意味していました。
誰かに手を差し伸べた時、神がその命を救った時、その人にとって全てが変わることを理解しよう。たとえ世界を見渡せば救いを必要とする者が無数にいても、たった一人の人が解放される姿こそが全てを意味する。たった一つの命が救われることに、それだけの価値があるのだ。
失われた魂が一つでも見出される度に、神を賛美しよう。
