What a fun Bible study we had tonight! I loved the time we shared going into Ephesians, there's so much to talk about in each verse.
One important take away that we also talked about tonight was the priority of 'being' with God, rather than 'doing' to win His affection and love. There's so much we could say about God's love. One of the most amazing parts is that since He already completely loves us, there's nothing we can do to gain more of His love because we already have all of it. There's no favoritism, once we turn to Him, repent and receive salvation, we're adopted and grafted in. He's not driving us with force to do things for the kingdom, instead we're called and drawn. Out of pure love and resting in Him, we're doing things He's asking us to do. He's calling us to rest in Him and be a son or a daughter.
It's also equally cool to read through and see verse after verse God talking to us as He confirms His love for us, blessing us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. So many spots where we can see that God has gifts for us and blessings and it's all tied together line by line.
I'm looking forward to what God will continue doing as we grow together. We forgot to take a picture inside, thus the outdoor selfie.
今夜の聖書勉強会は本当に楽しかった！エペソ人への手紙を共に学ぶ時間は最高でした。どの節にも語り尽くせないほど深い意味が詰まっています。
今夜特に話し合った重要な点は、神の愛と恵みを得るための「行い」よりも、神と「共にいること」が優先されるということでした。神の愛について語り尽くせないほどですが、最も驚くべき点は、神がすでに私たちを完全に愛しておられるため、その愛をさらに得るために私たちが何かを成し遂げる必要は全くないことです。私たちはすでにその愛のすべてを授かっているのですから。偏りはありません。私たちが神に向き直り、悔い改め、救いを受け入れる時、私たちは養子として迎え入れられ、神に接ぎ木されるのです。神は私たちを王国のために何かをさせるよう強制されるのではなく、招き、引き寄せてくださいます。純粋な愛と神に安らぐことから、私たちは神が求めておられることを行っているのです。神は私たちに、御自身に安らぎ、息子や娘となるよう招いておられます。
また、聖句を読み進め、神が私たちへの愛を確証し、天にある霊的な祝福のすべてをもって私たちを祝福していると語られる箇所を次々と見つけるのも同様に素晴らしいことです。神が私たちに賜物と祝福を用意しておられることがわかる箇所が数多くあり、それらが一行一行で結びついているのです。
私たちが共に成長する中で、神がこれからも続けてくださることを楽しみにしています。内部で写真を撮るのを忘れてしまったので、屋外での自撮りとなりました。
